All this talk about Vermont has me thinking about an anecdote involving Big Game and the great state of Vermont. Last winter after riding Okemo for the day a group of 7 of us stopped into the Taco Taco for a bite to eat. Along with the Big Game and myself were several others including B.G.'s brother who lives in Vermont. In typical B.G. style he was trying to get under his brother's skin by lambasting Vermont. The topic wandered a bit until B.G. found a sensitive nerve and went in for the kill. Ben and Jerry's was the topic of choice and B.G was goin off! Now, I was sitting with my back to the wall and B.G. was sitting across from me. From my vantage point I was able to view the entire establishment. Well, across the room sat this one gentleman who looked a little upset and he looked to be growing madder. At this point the B.G. started to assert that there was no such thing as Vermont dairy, that Vermont dairy was a myth and that, in fact, ALL Vermont dairy came from New Hampshire or Canada. He even said that B&J should be labeled as a product of New Hampshire and not Vermont. The now livid gentleman from across the room angrily rose and strode over to the B.G. lookin ready to throw down. He stared the Big Game down and said:
I'll have you know that I am a NATIVE VERMONTER and you are full of s**t!

Now keep in mind there were 7 of us at the table and this guy was all alone. B.G. offended him so much that he threw the odds out the window and caution to the wind to come over and tell B.G. he was a lier!

My point in all this is that Big Game needs to show the Green Mountain State a little of respect if he wants some in return. This girl may be a "NATIVE VERMONTER".

To get optimal performance out of your rig you should check your tire pressure BEFORE each and every ride.

I still think I'm right about the dairy farm thing. I've seen more cows in Wallingford, Connecticut than in Wallingford, VT (just north of Dorset). That guy was just pee'd cause I figured out their little scam. Buy milk at low low NH and Canada prices. Stick a little "made in Vermont" sign on it and charge double the price.

Michelin tires usually have great tread, but I've found the sidewalls to be too flimsy.

That story solidifies my point about his "Magic Personality". Lets face it, the guy is a player. He's got game...BIG GAME.

BG - execute your vision and you'll close this thing.

Remember, the only thing worse than action without vision is a vision without action.

When riding wet roots and rocks, it is imperative to use your momentum and proper weight distribution over your wheels. Pedaling "through" the obstacle will cause you to slide out.

After living up here since 1975, I have gotten more than tired of the "real Vermonter" concept. The closest thing you can find on two legs to a r.V. are the disgruntled remnant indians. Vermont's state religion is either tourism or agricultural welfare, I'm not sure which...

:D My parents were living in Vermont when Mom was pregnant for me. They were transplants from CT. Mom was talking one day to somebody about how if I was born there, I'd be a Vermonter. Well, a *real* ::) Vermonter overheard this and decided to comment: "Just 'cause the cat's got kittens in the oven, don't make 'em biscuits!"
ROFLMAO! ;D
Ummm... yeah.
