Has anyone seen new Honda commercials? They don't sit well with me, I've seen two recently and in my opinion reinforce negative stereotypes. One is for the Passport. SUV with two mountain bikes on top, stops at a rock tunnel which goes though a mountain. The SUV can't fit with bikes on top so it backs up, drives down though a river and comes out on other side of tunnel. Commercial ends with statement. "make your own shortcuts."

I didn't really see the other commercial in it's entirety, but I did catch two mountain bikers running head on into each other, while on lookers question if they collided on purpose.

Should we contact Honda and tell them to cut the crap , or am I over reacting?

Yeah, saw the tunnel commercial yesterday. Bogus, IMO.

The enviro-nazis (like Todd ;D) will be all over that one. MTBs on the roof fit right with the Mtn Dewd stereotype, too.

Since we are on the topic of commercials, I saw one this weekend for American Express (or whoever Seinfeld promotes) with him mountain biking out of control down a mountain and he apparently destroys the ruins of Pompeii. It is supposed to be humorous because he states they are already ruined but I didn't find it funny. Fortunately, I don't think people equate these with reality so I wouldn't start a letter writing campaign. On the other hand you don't have to buy a Honda if you don't want to.
