What is cool stuff off the bike?

I hardly think Elections qualify as cool, perhaps it belongs in "boring stuff off the bike". :-\

Disney World and Strippers, now that's cool stuff!

I'm confused. Are you saying that you don't know what cool stuff is but you do know what it isn't?

Perhaps the exercise of free elections has lost it's novelty in the wilds of Maine. But there are many places still all over the world that would cherish the opportunity to be so bored.

Is this where we get to talk about beer, booze and broads??

This is probably where most of the General Discussion threads should have ended up...

Hey Bill, I Never said I didn't Love America! I just thought "elections" was kind of a lame topic to start off "Cool things off the Bike". It's hard for me to get excited about politics these days. I'd also like to add that no one has responded to "Elections" yet, and my vain attempt to be funny has three responses!

Defining "cool stuff" is going to be tricky, it's in the eye of the beholder. Shark attacks are cool, unless your the one being attacked.

Hey, I voted. I just didn't feel like replying. ;)

I'm worried about the elitist nature of this entire forum. I mean that to post in here you are declaring that your topic is "cool". At least in the General Discussion forum there wasn't this unbeleivably high pressure to perform. In the General Discussion area it was the amount of people who posted to and read the forum that made it cool. Now, just by posting it is cool? This sounds like the place for roadies and pro XC racers. This sounds like the place for lycra and bright peacock feather colors. I don't want to wear tight clothing with my race resume tapped to my back! I'm going back to the General Discussion area where we can all be equals.

I'll second that, Disney is pretty cool but strippers (and lesbians and lesbian-strippers) RULE! Oh yea, and ham, ham is pretty cool too ;)

Anyone up for RT1? I was trying unsuccessfully to get people to go to the Cab Saturday night. LAME-A$$ pansies.

Todd,
I never said you didn't love America either. I was just replying to your question. Thats the purpose of the forum correct? To promote lively discussion, the exchange of differing viewpoints.

Truth is I just like to, oh how did someone put it, ah yes i remember "some people seem to have a need to seek out controversy and advertise it". Yup thats me all over. Its just this kind of "abnormal" personality trait thats got me banned from Great Brook Farm.

Maybe i could find some kindred spirits to ride with down east.

Wait a minute. This sounds alot like whining, and that is defiantly not cool.

"Defiantly not cool" is as cool as it gets. 8)

Banned from Great Brook? Bill, you seem like such a mellow laid-back guy. Perhaps you could share that story over a cold one sometime.

Next year's trail building weekend, perhaps?

November 13th, 2002, 10:30 PM
OOOOOOOkay,

While i appreciate all the attention, (crave it is truer),
to stay on the thread would surely be cooler.

So thank you to Z for her kind words of praise,
And radair, i'll see you at the Lynn trail day?

Now back to the thread, to sharks :o, strippers :-\ and ham,
and to just being cool, being just who i am

I sometimes don't get served at bars because I don't look quite right, and I hardly drink. Is that nuts or what. The part of me that I like the most is my aggressive thought process as I put it. I like to put things down like politics, special interest groups, abortion lobbyists and any other A*HOLE
that does not have enough enviromental stimuli to occupy their own cerebral cortex, so they have to get involved in what "Other People" are doing and make their lives miserable. There is a lot of that in this state. "People with nothing to do but ruin the fun for others"
They should be given the death penalty. And for the people who crack their head open on someone elses property and then try to sue. Well they should be shot on site. We are moving towards a very agressive society and very aggressive ways. This country has been exploited, used and abused and it's time it all stopped. Wait a minute, this was about cool stuff right? Well cool for me is to own 2 or more bikes over two thousand dollars. Owning 10 banjos, my guitars. Cool is watching those B.C nuts and the stunts they do on mtb bikes. I don't like strip clubs; they are a frign waste of time for me. If it does not involve skin on skin then I want nothing to do with it. You also have to try this. Go to any mall and find a bench. Bring a silver dollar if you can find one or one of those goldish dollar coins, or at minimum a quarter. Put a dab of superglue on the coin and place it on the floor and stand on it for a full 3 minutes. You should grab an ad or magazine to read while your standing on the coin. After 3 minutes, put on a dark pair of shades and sit on the bench and watch all the fun begin. I've done this at the Emerald Sq. Mall and it was the funniest thing I've ever seen. Now that's cool. The coolest thing of all though is when you go beyond what you think you can accomplish. You know what I'm talking about. Like something you wanted to do but wimped out and it ATE AT YOU for days and days. Like a nice 12' drop or something like that. When you finally go beyond fear and just do it. Thats cool. There are a lot of things that are cool. I personally like to make fun of peoples physical appearances as well, that is cool. However I willingly allow people to poke fun at me in return. I willingly admit that I am an ugly bastard. So anyone on here want to challenge me on any political debate? Maybee the "Crisis in Massachusetts", the fact that 03-05 will be the worst years in MA history since the depression, the fact that this state will become the least desirable state in the US to live in. Think about it. Knuckle

hey, there are a lot of cities and towns facing TOUGH choices this year in this fiscal crisis. and this record cold has added to the numbers of those in NEED. it's time for us to put aside partisan squabbling and get down to the peoples' business. :P

Bring it on dude.
We'll start off with Mitt Romney. What do you think he's going to do to try to curtail this fiscal crisis? He's surely not going to fix it. As I see it many companies are perhaps going to pack it up and get the hell out of this state. What do you think. I think he's gonna cut, cut, cut. I don't think he will cut education, but who knows. The school where my 6yo girl goes sent out a note to parents to donate school supplies, like pencils, crayons and paper. Pretty sad ha? Knuckle
