Did anyone else hear that Hollywood is ruinning The Three Stooges? Apparently in Hollywood's little annoying trend of making high-budget sequel's and remakes (they're even making a modern day sequel to the Wizard of OZ, how pathetic is that? ) some jackass thought it would be a neat idea to remake the Stooges. How are they going to screw it up?
Color: Stooge films should NOT be in color NeoStooges: Rumors say we could see Jim Carrey and Jack Black...
This movie isn't hitting theaters until 2005, thankfully.

Your right Kevin, there are no original ideas coming out of hollywood. Seems every time i go the movies (not often) all the trailrs are old tv shows, sequels of remakes, or useless tired crap teen movie softporn horror. There is a sad lack of imagination in the entertainment business and in the public in general.

Still, The Felowship of The Ring was great even if it was altered for marketing. I guess the next time i see the inside of a theater will be for The Two Towers.

They're making a "Bewitched" movie too. Rumor has it Nicole Kidman will get the starring role.

I heard there is an A-Team movie coming out next summer. The TV show wasn't even that good!

Speaking of TV shows - anyone remember The White Shadow?

Coach Reeves, Coolidge, Reese, Thorpe, and Salami. Took place at Carver High.

ESPN (classic maybe) show reruns weekdays...so if your sick at home check it out... A TRUE ALL TIME CLASSIC!

I will have to agree with the LoTR and movies of the like. Established franchises such a Bond, Star Trek, Star Wars, Potter, Rings are the only movies that are exempt from the sequel horror. But the Santa Clause 2? God no. The company waiting 8 years to make the movie is not a coincidence. It's because they finally ran out of good ideas. I think I am most offended at Terminator 3. Whoever came up with the idea to make t3 should be murdered in the most violent and lengthy way. Not only do they not have the same director, or actors (excluding Arnold), but it costars a no-talent teen actress, Clare Danes (Romeo & Juliet).

As for the A-Team, that movie is dead. If it actually gets made at this point, I would be surprised. They could not get any actors, Mr. T was only cameoing to buy back some of his gold from the pawn shop, and IMDb no longer lists it, which is a good sign of a movies death.

Truthful the movies I like best have no association with Hollywood. Transporter is probably THE BEST action movie I have seen in a while. Coincidently it was not filmed in Hollywood. And it was reasonibly inventive.

Did anyone see Snatch? Directed by Guy Ritchie(Madonna's Boy) it starred the Transporter guy and Brad Pitt. Pretty inventive camera work. Ritchie also directed the new comedy Punch Drunk Love with Adam Sandler looks interesting.
Also, I saw Jackass last night. F**KING HILARIOUS!

You told me you were going to be busy doing your laundry all night and weren't going out.

Geez, gungywump, you knew I'd see this post. It's one thing to blow me off, but it is another to rub my nose in it.

You have got to be joking me. That movie was about as funny as Schindler's List. Christ, it's pathetic that male porn made 28 million dollars opening week. Half of the "stunts" they did were not even funny. Nevermind the fact that everything was either staged or done on closed areas.

Also, PTA (Paul Thomas Anderson) directed Punch-Drunk Love.

You are correct sir on the Punch Drunk Love and maybe I was too Punch Drunk when I saw Jackass. But, it was still F**KING HILARIOUS and there is really nothing else like it. Closed areas for SOME scenes yes. ALL of it staged? I don't think so. In fact I don't think ANY of it is "staged". Original definately.

Are you friggin serious Kev? There has already been a King Kong remake done in the late 70's. And it BOMBED fantastically! Apparently, the producers felt that the thing holding back the originaly King Kong was the fact that he was made out of clay. So they spent millions to build a full size robot Kong.

My question is why are they are wasting millions on something that has already been done before, when they could waste millions doing something unique: Building a Solid Gold Bike.

I wish I was not serious. Right now I am making a list of the most pathetic sequels for a part of an editoral for my website. In my opinion Dumb and Dumber 2: When Harry Met Lloyd is at the top of the list. Reason? The script is so bad that the director and original actors refused to come back. They are currently looking at Ben Curtis (AKA Dude, You're getting a Dell! boy). The Mask 2 is at the top of the list for almost the same reason. I have to give Jim Carrey a little credit for having enough self-respect for not doing such utter garbage.

As for Jackass, probably the Japanesse **** was not staged. But did you see the scene when they were in the panda suits and started sexually dancing with the half-naked Japenese folk in the street? Pure staging. You could tell from the camera angles most of it was staged. Kind of took away from the whole thing. Also, I saw almost no censored faces, meaning they had premission to film everything.

Kevin, I agree about the Pandas and the dancers. About the censored faces though. If the image in question contains more than, I beleive the number is 5, and it is in a public place there is no need for a model release. Think of the News filming groups, ie protesters.
Also, did you notice in the toy car scene that he went INTO the doctor WITH an X-ray envelope in his hand? That I can see as being staged.

Boonaholic-

Right on! One of the greats. Charles Grodin went south after that one.

"I got two words for you, Shut the F*@k Up!" Jake Walsh (Jacob Wesley Walsh)

lol

TNT/TBS shows that movie sometimes. The edited version should be destroyed and never watched. It's just not as funny without hearing "f*ck" every other word.

Charles Grodin was funny in that and "Taking Care of Business" with Jim Belushi. Really, has he done anything else??

Beethovan? Heaven Can Wait? both crap.

I think he was in The Lonely Guy as well.

Midnight Run - Despite an overabundance of vulgarities that may overshadow the decent and hilarous script, this cultishly-popular Martin Brest film shall please most everyone. Starring Robert De Niro.

Yeah but gold is not a very strong metal. Now a titanium bike gold (or platinum) plated would be very sweet, and the gold would add very little if any weight to the bike. Of coarse with the way I ride i'd leave a little gold for the leprechauns on every rock I passed, I already leave them some nice authentic grey Klien paint :-)

What are you listing top movies of all time? Predator? Sorry Arnold was much better in COMMANDO. The ALL TIME pointless action movie with one of the highest body counts ever. Nevermind the fact that the one liners are amazingly hilarious. I cannot even count the times I have watched it. I have no idea why I like it, but I just do.
