They are retiring Terry O' Reilly's number tonight at the Fleet Center. Playing hockey growing up 'Taz' was one of my favorite Bruins...he hustled..
Did you know...he hold's the club record for penalty minutes, but he also shares the record for most playoff overtime goals.

At first I thought this was going to be a Jeff Gordon thread. ::)
Terry O'Reilly.....old school hockey the way it's supposed to be played.

Not in Stats...
The Dale Hunter fight against Quebec when Terry got suspended for hitting an official.
Climbing into the stands in New York and beating those obnoxious fans
Late in his career, in a game against the Canadiens, the play moved up ice out of the B's zone. One of the Canadien forwards was still in the B's zone harrassing Pete Peters, the goalie at the time. O'rielly noticed what was happening and raced back to Peters' aid. He lost the fight but to me that summed up his career in a nutshell. Never the best skater or scorer but he always had your back no matter what.
...many more but you get the picture...

...he hold's the club record for penalty minutes
That is why when they took down the old garden, he requested the penlty box door, they gave him the entire penlty box , they said he spent so much time in there as a player, he already owned it by squatters rights.

He spent over 34 HOURS in the penalty box in his career. Figure on about 17 of those at home. He deserved the whole penalty box. He earned it!
