Hey everybody. I thought this would be an interesting thing to get into. I was wondering what everyone was using for a fork, and if you freeride, trailride, or downhill. I have been through several fork configurations in the past month. Original fork was a psylo sl, then a 03 boxxer race, and now I am the proud owner of a set of sherman sliders. And to Todd, they are black, they match my bike and the fork tubes which are goldish match the graphics on my bike. I'm all good now. We know what Todd is using, so he need not reply as he is using half a fork. ;D

A compliment from you dude? I'm exstatic. Thanks dude. I just ordered them with a new raceface dh headset. I'm gonna be all stoked up. Glad to see theres another crack and fail user on the forum. Everyone gives me **** for riding a c-dale, but I think the rig is nice. Their welding is of the best out there. Next time your near your bike, look at the welds. Those are original material, not grounded or polished. Perfection my friend. The majority of their problems I think are from idiots hucking big on xc bikes. Peace out man. Knuckle

It's got only 152 or 6 inches. Rumor has it that there will be an upgrade kit for 7 inches coming soon. But I've seen some pics of dudes hucking on the sherman single crowns and those are bigger drops than I'm ever going to do, so they'll do me fine. I mean the first time I did a 10ft drop it felt like riding off the empire state building. I can't see myself doing 20 ft drops. I mean I've hucked big on my dirt bike. I did a 40yd gap once and a 50 ft drop to a tranny all day, but since I have to work for a living now, I don't like broken bones as much even though a nice script of perks is always one of the fringe benefits of broken bones. God bless the opiate family. PEACE

It's amazing to me, you look at a 10' drop from the bottom and you say. Ha, thats childs play. Then you scope out the edge from the top and it looks like your looking off a 100' cliff. I admit it took a lot of balls to do a 10' drop. And that was on my specialized fsr which is 3" x 3". The landing was not to nice, but I did not crash and I did not break anything amazingly. I just had to do it. The pain that sheered through my wrists to my shoulders and down my back was quite enlightening. I knew the bike was not meant for it, but the pain of bottoming made me realize I'd need a real hucking machine to do that again. I'm glad I did it though. Knucklepuss

Now why is it universally called a spork? Why are they never ever called foons? ???

I am happy to say I just ordered a brand new 2003 FOX VANILLA RLC w/ 125mm of buttery smooth all American machined metal travel! (about 4 inches) BOO YEAH!! now I just have to wait a month and I can bring home my super light specialized stumpy pro with something a little stronger than a SID SL. If anyone is looking for a good deal on a bike buy an 02 specialized stumpy pro- full xt + a little XTR, about 22 pounds!!! and I am getting it with a fox fork for only $1475!!!

Damm knuckles you have nuts the size of ur head to do a drop like that.. Question? Are you a small person. I have the same bike. I figure if i did the same drop I would have crushed my bike. I am about 205lb's. Not a giant by any means ,but heavy for a mtn biker. 10 feet ouch!

Is a Lefty like half a set of Chop Sticks? It's not really a fork. It's definatly NOT a spork.

All capital's is definitely not as annoying as watching Jack Black trying to act.
Anyways, since when are sporks called foons?
