I was out at Lynn on Saturday and went looking for the new stuff up on the Ridge. I was under the impression that the newly marked stuff up to the right (if you take the new entrance up) was all opened.

I couldn't find any marked trail, though. Funny thing is that I was one of the folks that helped scout it out. The squirrel trails were all there and I found the marking tape but nothing formal yet.

We did find that the old loop that connected the top of the new trail to the old Bow Ridge start is now formally slashed in dark Blue. Nice loop w/ a whole mess of rock face leg busting grunts up. Also a fair number of drops as well.

I got to check that place out. There a lot of good freeriding there? How are the hills? Kevin

Mike, the new stuff is there, not all of it yet, but there is some new stuff. The newer stuff still needs a lot of work, but some of it is all set and pretty fun to ride. Hopefully there will be another work day and then we can finish it off...

We are holding a final Lynn Woods work day for this season on Saturday November 16 at 9 am, Great Woods Road Parking area.

There is new trails on this part of Bow Ridge, however some are not formmally marked with Painted Trail Blazzing yet.

The November 11, trail day will hopefully connect the end of the new trail back down to the Ball Field area, via a long hill climb, right from the parking lot.

Till then, there are two other entrances to Bow Ridge, one of them is new, and installed this past spring. This new trail has been blazzed with Blue Hash Marks. The trail installed this past Fall exsist, needs some more work and is not blazzed yet.

Any question, please respond to this forum.

Just want to clarify, The work day will be on November 16th not the 11th. Our intent is to finish the new trail but we need to meet one final time with the ranger to work out the details. I do not expect any difficulties but will post after our meeting if anything crops up.
