I got the following advisory:

want to get a message out to all riders at Henderson-Swazey Forest (Ft. Rock) in Exeter, NH. In the last two
weeks, there have been at least three break-ins to cars in the lot. These incidents have included breaking of windows on locked vehicles and theft of valuables.

Exeter police have been notified in at least two of the incidents, but do not seem to be watching activity up at the parking area. Signs will be posted at the area and local bike shops and word-of-mouth notice is being given to all who use the trails.

Would you mind posting this information in the various lists that post rides in this area? Some bikers are currently choosing to park in Henderson-Swazey Park (bandstand on the river) as it is much more visible and roughly a mile
away from trailheads.

If you care to include it, Exeter police department can be reached at 772-1212.

Thanks!

Well, I've ridden up there twice this year. Luckily my truck was spared. But I gotta say, as small as those little woods are, there is some absolutely AMAZING riding in there. I loved it!!! There's just obstacles EVERYWHERE!!! So much sweet air, but still technically woods-ey single track. It is SO worth the trip to get there!!! Plus I know a short cut to get there:
Those who take 93 North to get there, instead of getting off at Route 101, get off at route 102, exit 4. Take 102 East until it leads to 101 East. You will have avoided the Manchester area all together, and shaved quite a few minutes off your trip.
