I pass through the N Conway area 6 + times a year and I'm looking for info on the Nanamocomuck Trail. Best place to park, type of terrain, length, etc. Any regular rides on it ?

Anybody have a suggested "loop" for the Nanamocomuck area ? Looking for a hour and 1/2 ride. :D

The lower Nan is pretty much an out-and-back. Unless you're really fast, riding the Lower Nan from Bear notch road to Covered bridge one way (probably the preferred direction) will take you at least an hour and a half. It's a good ride and the easiest to describe. Basically it's a straight shot, except you will have to bear left twice off the Nan onto detours that avoid some muddy sections that are not recommended for bikes. They are usually marked pretty well. (I think they are called the Wenunchus and Wenonah trails)
As for other options... hmm you should've come to the Adventure Series ride Sept 7th for a good tour! If you didn't make it, you might want to consider picking up a map at a local bike shop. There's plenty of good long loops you could do, but it's way too hard to describe them. In general, riding in the whites is a multi-hour affair.
Finally, the website Bill was referring is old. The new URL is http://nemba.mwv.org
Happy riding!

Did the ride as an out-n-back on Sun. 10/6 starting at the Albany bridge. Reminds me of the Highwater trail along the Wild river, not quite as tough though. Fun ride. Are all of the trails off of Bear Notch rd similar in terrain and as good ?
btw: I live 5 hours from Conway, so making Pedro's wasn't in the cards.
