I've been to Pennwood once before. I thought it was pretty good. What other CT places have you ridden? I'm always looking for something new. Local spots I've hit are:

West Hartford Reservoir (who hasn't?)
Cockaponsett State Forest (Chester)
Middlesex Community College
Hurd State Park (Portland)
Gay City State Park (did the MS ride)

I think that's about it. I've only been riding a couple of years, so I have lots more to explore. 8)

west hartford here..

I ride 7 days a week.. during the morning or early afternoons on weekdays and will go anywhere in connecticut.

and 8:00am to 9:30am sat/sundays at the "res" for a "take no prisoners" type ride as we want to be home early for family stuff.

if anyone wants to ride on weekdays.. just give me a holler.

The girl was murdered at east rock not west rock.

Well, they never did find the body. I hid... uh nevermind ;D Anyway, who knows, but it is good riding. I wouldn't advise riding there alone. It is still a great ride!!!

Newbie XC rider from Norwalk here. I'm new to CT and I've been riding for about a year and a half. I ride my hardtail at Cranbury a couple times a week, gradually checking out other local trails. So far:

Tyler Mill (fun)
Bradley Park
Brooksvale (workout)
Blue Mountain (trail markers; what a great idea!)
Trout Brook, Aspetuck

Bluff Point
West Hartford

Wilton Woods
Cranbury (dog poop, but close)

It wasn't random though - they think it was an ex boyfriend (you know so that makes it ok) ::)
