I'm going nutz trying to decide on a gary fisher sugar 2 in size medium or small (mens frame). I am 5'6" with 32" inseam, and want to be doing fairly technical riding. My fisher hardtail is a small but I think the sugars have a slightly different geometry. Both are comfortable bikes and I have been told that smaller is better for east coast technical riding. I will have to put a slightly setback seatpost on the small to get the right fit. Any other sugar riders out there could share their experience. Thanks a lot.

Karen,
If it's not to late...

I rented a Sugar out west this year and tried the small first which didn't work for me. The medium was perfect and I can honestly say I have never taken to a bike so quickly.

I am 5'6 with a true 30" inseam, although the pants I buy have to be 32" as the 30" are floods. I still can't figure that out.

Happy riding!
