Looks like the boy is going to Vermont Tech. Other then KT an hour or so north, is there any riding near there. Any decent campgrounds?
Looks like the fishing will be good, just need to have a place to ride.

Randolph, Vermont - Vermont Mountain Biking

Vermont (http://www.trails.com/stateactivity.asp?area=10044) is home to Pedro's New England Mountain Bike Festival, one of the country's best.
The festival is a fun non-competitive weekend of bike and non-bike events. The participants of the festival begin arriving on Friday for a weekend of camping at the site, a self-sufficient village designed to meet every need.
There'll be a large expo area with concession stands for food as well as manufacturers and retailers promoting and selling their products. Set in the quaint New England town of Randolph, Vermont, every effort will be made to involve vendors from all over New England to add to the New England experience.
There will be activities covering the whole spectrum of mountain biking: novice through expert rides, kids' rides, scenic rides, mountain bike games, and industry clinics. There will also be several pro-riders on hand to lead rides and run clinics.

Damn -I'm sure there's good riding to be had around there, but that Pedro's article is old enough to drive itself to the scrap heap. What was that, 94? 95?
