I work in Chelmsford, live in Stow. Want to ride offroad as much as possible home. Thinking there must be a few ways to do it.

Current thought is:

Russell Mill and Thanksgiving (Chelmsford), Great Brook (Carlisle), Estabrook & Annurnsac (sp?) hill (Concord), Great Hill (Acton), Captain Sargent, Flagg Hill, Heath Hen, Marble Hill, Delaney (Stow)...

I think there is too much road work in there. I am not familiar with Concord or Acton - was wondering if there are better connecting trails?

Other suggestions or ideas for the ride?

Would also consider going East or West instead of South immediately....

Something to think about while I x-country ski or road ride for the next few months.

From the back side of Tophet swamp in Great brook you can go through conant land to estabrook to 2 rod road to get to monument st in Concord. You can also get to the cranberry bogs from great brook. I find the local town conservation web sites very helpful. What about the new bruce freeman rail trail? What exactly are your start and stop points? Let me check my map notes from my mega ride, 10 towns, 62 miles. L

I am riding from 129/RT 3 Area, so will start out going down the power lines onto Mill Rd, then into Russell Mill. I have ridden the trail to/fr the Cranberry Bogs and could get over to 27 (and the BF Trail) easily from there. Once I am there, what trails are there to get me through Acton/Littleton/Boxboro?

My end point is near the Bose Building in Stow.

I am planning to do it on my SS Rigid - road riding = spinning.

62 mile Mega Ride sounds good - do you have a map to share?
