Can someone tell me what group or groups take care of the TM over at Mt A? I have only been living in the area over there for a year and would like to know what the deal is with cutting in new singletrack, especially on the reservoir side. There is tons of potential over there and other than a few sections of singletrack it's all fireroads getting dug up by ATV's. Are the land manager is very tough, or is it a simple lack of volunteers to perform the work?

I'd like to know how i could best get involved.

There's some info on volunteer/TM opportunities and a link to contact the conservation coordinator in the Get Involved section of the Mount Agamenticus Conservation Region website:

http://www.agamenticus.org/getinvolved2.html

If you check the community work party schedule there's a volunteer day coming up on Oct 23rd, could be a good place to meet other folks who're willing to invest time in trail work, hopefully make contacts with some of the land managers for the area and get a feel for attitudes and opportunities regarding new trail construction.

Thanks Munin.

I will follow up with that. I was also curious if there were some previous tales or horror stories. The amount of MTB traffic to singletrack ratio just seems off there. I'm used to seeing a lot more trails at a park that gets that much traffic.

I think there are several different property owners in that area. There used to be a nemba mt A chapter. Maybe someone else could chime in here. Check with Rage Portland, they may be of help. Or Portland Nemba chapter.
