Is the riding there any good? I live fairly close by and am familiar with the trails from when I rode dirtbikes in there but they ran us out. So, I was wondering if the riding there is any good AND if any one even rides there (you know, to make the loss of Dirtbike Habitat more palatable).

I live pretty close by and was wondering the same thing, so I hit it up last week. It was o.k. I found about 6 miles worth of decent stuff. Somebody has raked out a few of the trails and they were pretty fun. If theres more decent trail out there I'd probably ride there frequently.

What GR needs is more people riding there. There is some good singletrack, some new this spring. There is an active friends group well represented with mountain bikers that is promoting new trail development. DCR is supportive of new trails and more public use of the property, after a long period of abuse from motorized users. NSNEMBA is supporting the friends group effort.

It's definitely worth the drive to Georgetown to try out the singletrack. Best bet is to park at the Georgetown end of Pingree Farm Rd., left at the first opportunity and try to stay on the 1-track. Nice loop over the bridge behind Penn Brook School. Perimeter loop west of the highway down into Boxford and back to the PF Rd. gate is good too.

Will post a map with some suggested trails when I get a chance. Ride it so the work days are not raking existing trails but making new stuff. Cleaveland Farm SF and over to Hood's Pond is worth an exploratory ride too.
