CT NEMBA will be your host for this ride series. It's not a race but rather a selection of rides designed to showcase the bicycling opportunities in Cockaponset. The routes range from beginner loops on woods roads up to full on advanced routes promising to test the mettle of the seasoned rider. All routes are marked and you can ride at your own pace or join a led ride.
9-11am Ride the Marked Courses at your own pace
9:30am Expert Led Ride
10am Intermediate Led Ride
We will be having pizza post-ride around noon and a swag raffle compliments of Clarke Cycles out of Essex, CT!
Directions to Cockaponset State Park, Chester, CT:
From North (I-91) or South (I-95) take CT rte.9 to exit 6 in Chester and head west on rte.148 for approximately 1.5 miles turning right onto Cedar Lake Road. Follow Cedar Lake Road for 1.5 miles and then turn left into the Pattaconk Lake Recreation Area at Cockaponset SF. Follow to the parking lots at the end of the road.
* Entry for mountain bikers is free; be sure to tell the attendant you're there to ride.
