Hi - We are interested in making a trip to the camden snow bowl. Anyone got any recommendations on what trails to take? Where are some of the good camping choices? I am thinking of camping at the Camden Hill State Park campground and was wondering if anyone else had any experiences there. Any info would be much appreciated!

I live locally, so I haven't stayed in the Park. I would imagine it's pretty good camping, fairly spreadout sites, close to town, and gets plenty of use. I wish the park would less of its resources on the campground and mroe on the trails within the park. The trails at the Snowbowl are excellent intermediate to advanced trails. There is not much beginner terrain, however that will be changing this fall. There is a marked yellow intermeidate loop and red expert loop behind the ski lodge at the base of the T-bar on your right. There is an interesting network of trails that are not marked (yet) that abut the Snowbowl property. Most regulars ride both networks within a single ride. There is a group of regulars that ride from the parking lot on Thursdays at 530, and plenty of locals who be glad to take a visitor out. There is a good map at the trailhead.
