I went for the first time this weekend. Definitely not the last! I finally found the the zen between my 29er and myself! That mile ride up to the farm from East Burke Sports really sets the standard for the day! The trails are simply perfect! Was told of a beautiful place to take a dip I think its called beaver pond or dam or something. Went up the Web and ate at the Chapel! Ended the day finding out you can drink on the premisses of which I had no problem practicing while taking another dip in the stream nearby! Id love to find some cheaper places to stay nearby for the next time I stay. Any suggestions?

What a wonderful long weekend of riding and camping! The new addition of the ice cream shop didn't hurt either. Each day after riding we swam in the river by the bike shop and had an ice cream...what could be better after a long day in the saddle.

Trails were in great shape too!

As for finding a less expensive place to stay, try camping. Once you have the proper gear it is inexpensive but if you like a nice bed somewhere, not sure where to send you.

You know there is one thing I didn't understand why on the 4th of July no one in the area knew of any fireworks going on. Not the Bike shop, the store across the the fence, the bar, or restaurant on the other side of the bike shop. In fact why would they have fireworks on Friday and not on the 4th? Weird! But all in all an awesome time and Im already planning on a quick return with a small crew.

I think Lyndonville had fireworks on the 4th.

I don't think Vermont celebrates the 4th of July.

I am gonna try and get a few guys from work to head up there again with me in mid August maybe we can all hang or set something up like at a camp site for a base. Any ideas or thoughts or even interests?

There were only a couple sites left for Labor Day Weekend when I reserved last week. Hurry if you want to go then, or find someone you can share a site with...
