title says it all.leaving spaulding fields off rt 40 by 8:45,back around 1.Brisk pace,h20 stop around 20 miles. At least 30,could be 40 miles. All or nothing.Just your basic long hard ride too early in the season at a mid season pace.Sound like fun?978-852-4962 if you're in the mood for suffering :)

Wayyyyyy too early in the season for that silliness. I'll catch you in a few weeks.

Dave,
Be careful out there man. I did a similiar loop earlier in the week when it was dry, can't imagine riding Special Ops, As Is, Sledgehammer, Haystack, GRIM when those rocks are wet.

I punched out 35 from Rt 40. Hit McLean Woods, Williams Barn, Power Lines, Sledge, your homemade trail to Haystack, Groton Woods to Special Ops, Cow Pond, Anaconda, As Is, Grim, Grotonwoods, and back to Groton Center. You can easily hit 50+ if you include the Ayer / Gun Club trails, Peabody Woods, Groton Place, and GTF.

we did 29 miles with 3:45 pedaling time, total time about 4.5 hours.hit bates/black man,as is ,grim loop, scout, annaconda, lost lake/special ops, mit, dads house, sledge, road ride back to spaulding.no castle this time.Rocks were slick but rideable.Good early season stomp.Making the loops longer is the easy part. Its the pedaling that hurts :).Another month and I'll turn it up a notch (or two).
