First trail maintenance day at Wompatuck for 2010 kicks off this Sunday 3/21. In conjunction with Friends of Wompatuck this day is part of NEMBA's Trek Bicycles Trail Care schedule; all volunteers who sign in on the NEMBA waiver will be entered into a end-of-season drawing to win a Trek bike. Last year two SEMass NEMBA members won this drawing for attending TM days.
Focus for this day will be clearing trail debris from the winter and last weeks high winds. We will have crews on bike and on foot hitting the trails. Bring loppers & a hand saw if you have them, water, and gloves are a good idea as well. Helmet if you'll be riding with the bike crew.
Meet @ 8:30am at the Visitors Center for coffee and sign in, we'll move out around 9. Work will wrap up by noon and lunch will be provided back at the Visitors Center.
