Hiya folks,
I have an older steel frame (1998 ish), it is a Voodoo Hoodoo. I do not like the way the stock cable stop routes the cables around the frame. Anyone know of somewhere in the Boston area that could weld some new cable stops to this frame? Not worried about the paint as I am planning on repainting it.
Thanks,
Brad

They may be able to help. also check out local frame builders. You can find some on bostonbiker.org.

They make cable stops that can screw into the bottle cage holes. Maybe this would help?

Full length housing and zip ties - run the cables anywhere you like.

Who makes those? Got any links you can provide me?
Thanks!

I went to Hot Tubes today at lunch. They were able to braze cable stops on 4 different locations on the frame, media blast the entire frame, and shorten and face my headtube all while I waited all in less than an hour. Awesome service and the price for all of it was very reasonable.
If you have an older frame that needs some updating, I would reccomend these guys.

Ktmdad, I used some old cantilever brake parts, but I think Rivendel bikes had something like that.

Thanks, I'll Google that.
I want to use the water bottle mount for a cable stop on my Prophet which is waaaaay down by the BB so I can run a longer outer cable. Cleans up the look a bit more than anything. I will custom fab something if I cant find anything out there.

Check out Problem Solvers also - they make assorted doo-dads along those lines.
I see a seat-clamp looking thing for cable routing called a backstop on their site.
