I want to take my kids out for a ride to Kingman Farms, however someone mentioned that the area is open to hunters. Anyone ride there this time of year? Any worries riding there during hunting season?

Thanks

Hunting is allowed there. Shotgun only. Lots of people hike and bike there during hunting season. Wear orange or red. A bell might be a good extra. There is info at the trailheads. Most hunters I've seen are in there early morning and late afternoons. There is so much non-hunting activity I don't see how anyone would hunt there. I think you'll be fine during mid-day hours. Lots of doggie walkers.

I used to ride out there a lot and used to see hunters occasionally but mainly on the outskirts property which probably isn't even part of kingman technically. I wore orange and tried to ride after their hunting hours with a light so I would usually see them walking out after dark. Probably looked like a UFO to a few as I approached. I remember seeing bow hunters too.

Thank you for the responses. My boys and I went out there on Sunday and had a great time. We saw quite a few friendly dog walkers. I spoke to a couple who go there regularly and they said they haven't seen too many hunters there.
