Hi Folks,

We have a trail work day Saturday 10/3. It was supposed to be at Ward Reservation in North Andover, but we have a hangup with conservation approval and material delivery. This should be all sorted out for another trail day scheduled for 10/18.

So we are switching to the planned work at Harold Parker State Forest along Field Pond. A bog bridge, a lot of cutback and a few short reroutes to higher ground along side the pond. Weather looks iffy, but this work is easily accessible and not a problem in the rain (if it doesn't happen to be sunny). Come on out and give yourself a shot at winning a Trek bike or 2 and get this trail prepared for the Wicked Ride of the East 10/25.

Heavy rain could force a cancellation. Call if questionable. But the show almost always goes on.

Yes it will be damp tomorrow. Raingear will be a necessity. But the trailer is loaded up with the bog bridge materials. There's brushing to be done. The worst of the rain looks like it will be later in the day. The worksite is close by for quick start/exit. No reason to cancel. We've worked in worse. Promise you'll be home early to get ready for NEMBAfest on Sunday!
