I'm looking for a powdercoating shop to do my bullit. Does anyone have any experience with one? Is there anything I should keep in mind when having it done?

We had lawn furniture sand blasted at this place, and he sent the pieces somewhere for powder coating. Package was $380 or so, for blasting and painting for four pieces, including a chair, table, sofa and chair, with the premium coating option. Seemed like a great deal to us. Not sure where you are. This guy is in South Windsor, CT.

I had two frames done at Powder Coating Alternatives in Greenland, NH. They did a great job with the coat, but weren't as careful as I'd hoped with the frame prep. Some of the coat got inside the BB shell, seat tube, and head tube and had to be cleaned out by me afterward. Since they also blasted the frame, this wasn't really something I could have sealed off myself first. I would definitely go back to them - I would just be more specific with my instructions about sealing off certain areas. Pricing was about $125 per frame, and an additional $40 for a rigid fork. Prices varied based on the coats you wanted - mine were single layers, no clear coat, and on the less expensive end of options. Good luck!
