I'm going to be in the Meredith area on Saturday...cousin wants to kayak, I'm opposed to being in the water when its less than 85 degrees outside. What's good for biking in the area? Anyone going to be out and about in the area and would take a tag-a-long? I'm still a newbie at this, but willing to try lots of stuff.

There is a well developed trail system down in Franklin at the Franklin Falls Dam. Probably about a 15-20min drive depending on exactly where you are in Meredith.

About 8 miles of trails total and more on the buff / flowy side of things as opposed to really rocky and technical, great for beginners.

PM me if interested, I can get you directions and a trail map. Unfortunately I have plans Saturday otherwise I could show you around as well. There are also some trails that are a bit closer to Meredith but Franklin is the most accessible (parking, etc.) and best documented.

I plan to ride at Franklin Falls on Saturday morning, and would be happy to show you around. I expect to ride around 9:30 or 10:00am, but plans are still a little flexible. PM me or give me a call if you're interested.

I have spoken with a couple friends who are also interested in riding Saturday morning. The group includes another beginner, a couple recent returns to biking, and a couple frequent riders. Let's make it an 'official' NEMBA group ride:

Saturday 5/30

We will ride unless it is heavy rain.

We will be meeting at the Franklin Falls Dam Parking lot at 9:30am. All abilities are welcome, but we plan to keep a beginner to intermediate pace. We will ride for about 1.5 hours, but stop for breaks as needed and provide bail-out options. There aren't too many tricky technical sections, but we will stop for do-overs if anyone wants.
