I'm looking into the cove stiffee now, and was wondering, does Cove sell full bikes or just frames?
I'm trying to build an above average freeride hardtail for just under 1k, can i do this with new parts? I'll probably be doing it through my local bike shop

I'm thinking an 'above average' frame alone would eat up most of a grand.
Throw in a nice fork and wheelset adds another. Then a decent drivetrain, brakes, tires, bars stem seat/post, all at LBS prices...'nother grand or so, you'd probably be looking closer to $3k. There's definitely much cheaper ways to do it.

Here's an HD frame for $250. My sons very little used freeride frame which has been hanging in my cellar for years. Check it out if you are looking for a hardtail freeride with stout, this is it. Size--lg. Interested? Let me know

and my friend has a foreplay, and that thing rips up freeriding and dirt jumps...the frame was about the same price as the stiffee

Used or a new complete bike works out cheaper than buying a frame and building it up, specially if you're paying full retail for parts. Then keep an eye out for deals and upgrade parts as you wear them out. Ground up build is usually the most expensive way to do it.
