Can you really build a decent trail in the rain? How much rain before its mud you're working with?

Sometimes you can build a better trail in the rain. the "Mud" is easier to work with than bone dry dust. Easier to pack and shape features. Of course if it's a torrential downpour, then you should probably only do Rock Work.

Mike was going off to buy some hatchets to be used on the tree stunts over on Lincoln Logs. Looks like there will be lots of different stuff to do.......dirt , rocks, log ride layout and preparation. Not speaking for the crew...........just there to work.

Great turnout for the first trailcare day of the Sinister Trailcare Series 2009. 16 people braved questionable weather to work on the Lincoln Logs trail. The weather held and we created 3 skinnies each with ride around options. The kicker in the middle section of the trail was improved and it now has a better entrance and exit. A big thanks goes out to "trail boss" Mike along with Dave, Don, Steve, Bob, Bill, Aaron, DR, Alan, Kevin, Clair, Paul, Vincent, John, and Pete for the work today.

Great day, thanks to everyone who came out. We had a great turnout 'specially considering the downpours early in the morning!

In reviewing the list of attendees and Kevin's photos, I realized I had forgotten to mention the 17th volunteer, Kranky Karl. His hard work and inspiring words were appreciated throughout the trailcare day. At least Kevin was able to capture photos where Karl was not flashing some obscene gesture ;-)

Glad I came. Always good to meet people who love working for what they love to do. Hope to get in a ride with you guys at some point somewhere. My bike or balls may not be large enough to do a lot of the stuff, but my enthusiasm is!
