We did our regular big loop tonight (heading through Concord and Great Brook) but this time we kept going to a place I had never ridden before -- Russell Mills. BG had been telling me that he and his MV crew had been putting in a bunch of new singletrack there (6 miles or so). The town actually asked them to build some MTB trails!

So after cruising through Concord's Estabrook Woods, Carlisle's conservation land trails and Great Brook Farm (where MV NEMBA also did some stellar work on Indian Hill), we hopped on the road for a couple of miles to explore Russell Mill. Wow! Lots of new, fresh, succulent, tasty singletrack that twists and turns, goes over many a rock, has some a couple of nice log rides, and some really nice flowing downhills.

Ooof, I'm tired. I hear that BG had a bunch of help from errollthin, kgoldswo and a bunch of other NEMBA trailmeisters -- thank you all.

And it looks like there's room for even more! Anyone want to chip in to get BG a headlamp so he can double his productivity by working nights too?

So, next time you riding Great Brook, exit Thanksgiving Woods and go ride Russell Mills as well. Here how to bike there:
