Who'd I run into in Foxboro?

Was on my DH bike getting a friend into riding. Just curious.

Yes that was me on the Giant DH.

I've been trying to get a friend into riding for a few weeks by taking him to Foxboro, problem is neither he nor I know most of the trails in there. I've been living in Vermont for the past 4 years and have only really been hiking in Foxboro so I was glad to be able to follow someone who knew some of the trails.

Is that a normal ride for you guys? I'd love to be able to come along on my regular bike sometime but the only group ride I knew of started at 5 or something and I'm still in Boston then...

Unfortunately the bike I was on is not the easiest to trail ride as it's about 45 lbs and only 9 speed with a 38 tooth ring up front and the seat is all the way down.

We've been doing this ride for over 10 years, and it's a really good group of people.

Just be sure to get to the parking lot with time to spare so you're ready to ride by 6.

Thanks for the offer. It's too bad you guys don't start later, I get home at about 5 of 6 and it takes me 10-15 minutes to get to the 140 entrance. Maybe I can figure out some place to meet up mid-ride.

There is usually a group ride on Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Fells in Medford (much closer to Boston if you have your car/bike). There may even be something at Blue Hills, and depending on where you are in Boston, Harold Parker S.P. in Andover might be an option.

We can and usually do swing by the Lakeview Pavilion off of Lakeview Street to pick up late-comers...usually by 6:10 - 6:15. If you're a definite, we'll be sure to swing by, just let us know. You can park your car there no problem (we've been doing this for years w/ no issue).
