Stolen Bikes Found!!!

I wrote at the beginning of April letting you all know about our bikes that were stolen from my garage. After nearly giving up, it seems there is a god after all.

It's kind of a long story so I won't get into it but the short story is we got a phone call at 1:30 this morning from a guy who told me he could get me the bikes if I'd pay the $200 reward (no questions asked and no police involvement) that we posted around town. I agreed to meet him at 9 this morning at Big Y supermarket in N.A. He showed up with the bikes, I gave him the cash then went to the police, who arrested him and hour later. It seems his son stole them but the father, who is the guy who called me and turned the bikes in, was so desperate for drug/beer money that he stole them from his own son who originally stole them from me. He's in jail as we speak....Thieves are really stupid!

So thanks to all for your support and e-mails telling me not to give up and to make sure if I found out who did it to make sure that justice is served........it has been.

Another thief done in by his own stupidity. Good. Maybe the person has other people's bikes and they can return those too?

Sadly enough, it's not the first time I've heard of someone stealing bikes from a family member in order to pay for drugs.
