The CNH NEMBA weekly ride is back!
With everybody itching to turn their pedals, CNH has decided to take the weekly ride on the road until trail conditions allow us to get in the woods.
The first ride will be on Monday, April 13th leaving from the Exit 23 park-n-ride at 5:30 pm.
The proposed loop for the first ride is ~19 miles: North on rt 132 to Ashland, back south on River rd.

Monday 5-11 @5:30
Monday Group Ride, Location: Proctor Academy Andover, NH
CNH NEMBA and Proctor Academy are looking at a collaboration to help maintain and expand their 'in house' trail network so that their Mt. Bike team has more trails to train and ride on. Sounds good to us, but we need to ride it first!
Directions:
South: I-93 North to Exit 17, Route 4 West 17 miles into Andover.
Southwest: North on I-91 to Claremont/Springfield. Follow Route 11 across to Andover (one hour) OR stay on I-91 to White River Junction; pick up I-89 South; take Exit 11; turn left onto Route 11; follow Route 11 to Andover.
Northwest: At White River Junction get on I-89 South; take Exit 11 (second New London exit); turn left onto Route 11; follow route 11 to Andover.
North: From Maine take I-95 South to Portsmouth Circle; take Route 4 West to Andover.
Proctor is obvious as you drive through Andover. There is a sign for the Field house on Rt 4/11 across from a big field. Take a right on to the field house road and the bike shop is at the back of the parking lot.

We are going to call tonight's ride based on today's weather combined with the wet trend lately.
My bikes need some maintenance from riding in greasy conditions lately and I think the trails could use a break as well.
We are going to push this ride meeting at Chainline Cycles out to next Monday 7/6
see you then!

Late notice but tonight's ride is being pushed out to after our chapter meeting this Wednesday 7/15.

- Pass Terri Murphy's Citgo on Left

"Team Pinnacle's first love, the town forest is anything but flat and offers access to an extensive network of ever expanding trails both in the Town Forest and to adjacent private land. The trail system offers technical and physically challenging terrain sure to put a smile on your face. Bring your climbing legs."
You will need an intermediate fitness and skill level for this ride, but we are just out for fun. No troops get left behind!

Hah! that is pretty pertinent info huh?
I must be out of practice...Official meet time is 530pm, I will probably be there shortly before that. We usually try to hit the trails a bit after that.
If you can't make 530 just let me know and I can wait or do a short warm up and then loop back to the parking lot to pick people up.

Monday 8/17
Join the crew for a tour of Elm Brook in Hopkinton. This Army Corp of Engineers Flood Control park is a new addition to our trail system and has a ton of potential. Like Franklin Falls, the engineers at the park are very supportive of our efforts and with some hard work, this could become the next Franklin Falls (maybe even bigger).
Plan on spending at least 2 hours here, as there is lots to explore and don't forget the bug dope.
We will be meeting in the parking area outside the main toll booth gate.
From West
Take Route 202 / Route 9 East towards I 89. Past Henniker, turn left on Route 127 North at flashing yellow light. Follow Route 127 North for approximately 2 miles. Follow the signs to Elm Brook Park on your right.
From North (I 89)
Take exit 6 off of I 89. Take a right onto route 127 and travel for 1.5 miles. The entrance to the park will be on your left.
From South (I 89)
Take exit 6 off of I 89. Take a left onto route 127 and travel for 1.5 miles. The entrance to the park will be on your left.
