The first ride of the SE Mass NEMBA Skills Series will be on Saturday, April 4th, at 9 am, at Pageant Field, in Quincy. If your new to mountain biking, and/or have a kid who is into it, this will be a good place to learn more about riding skills, trailside bike repair and adjustments, and safety. We'll have fun riding a very scenic, tranquil local loop on trails in and around the marsh at Black's Creek. It's 90% dirt, with a couple of street/ sidewalk connectors. We will ride for approximately 2 hrs, with plenty of stops for hydration, breath, scenery, and socializing. Please bring your bike, helmet, water, and a snack.
If you're an experienced mountain biker and want a nice mellow ride, come share your skills ! I will be needing co-leaders and sweeps, as we may have more than one group. Parents are encouraged to ride with us, but kids 10 and up are OK without a parent, as long as you (the parent)sign the waiver when we meet. My kids, 10 and 12, will be there with some of their friends, too!
Please RSVP to cobblestv@gmail.com for directions, and to let me know if you'll be there.
Visit our the SE Mass NEMBA website and the NEMBA.org site for upcoming rides and events.
