I rode wompatuk today and even with the recent rain it was not that bad out there. Some of the low lying trails were a bit muddy, but on these trails I saw more hoof prints from horses than bicycle tire imprints. As far as Borderland goes I only rode for a little while but the trails were in good shape. There was more dog poop than mud on the trails. I wish people would clean up after thier animals, especially at Borderland where they provide plastic bags for you to clean up after your dog.

What are the easiest trails at Wompy? I'm going there soon and I am a beginner so I would like to know.

From what I've ridden there, they're all pretty easy. There might be a few rocky bits, but you can just walk them.

grab a trail map in the vistors center or at the trail head across the street from the victors center, the "multi-use, bridle trail" are pretty wide and easy, but venture off of those to have some fun!

What are the easiest trails at Wompy? I'm going there soon and I am a beginner so I would like to know.

Couple suggested routes: on the west side of the road, I'd try NW1 - NW2 - NW3 (take a hard right) - NW6 - NW5 - W1 - W2 - W3 - S1 - S2 - S3 - S34 - S10 (follow pavement) - S11 - S32 - S29 (you're now at South Field). Take pavement to S30 and back to S11 - retrace route to W2 (go right) to brief pavement - NW10 - NW9 - NW8 - NW4 - retrace back to car. That's ~7-8mi long.

Looping on the east side of the road is a bit hard without using tougher terrain and/or pavement, but a good start would be N2 - N11 (turn hard right on pavement then left onto trail ~200 ft up) - N16 - N17 - N20 - N21 - N22, explore from here. Heading to N32 - N33 - N14 would make a shorter loop or you could head out further.

Definitely take a map with you, sizeable park but easy to navigate, intersection markers are bright blue with white letters. Keep in mind that when facing a intersection marker you're always facing north to get your bearings.
