Robinson is definitely not ready to go. Hopefully by next weekend, but no guarantee. Some areas have dried, but there is still about 15% ice and some major mud. Anxious users have done some good damage already. You know the rest...

That's a shame, but we'll get her fixed up.

The park is now less than 5% ice. Today was hard to judge. The early ride was solid frozen ground everywhere. And the afternoon "condition-check" ride didn't change much. Things should be good to go by the weekend, but a little walking and caution will be required. Much of the trails are good to go now, but there are some big connector areas that are swampy and there are a few 'spots' in the single-track that should not be ridden. The weather is not the best for quick drying with the frosty nights and some rain in the forecast. Although, today's wind was helpful. Next update will likely be Thursday.

Provin is perfect, maybe 1 or 2 little icy spots.

Hi all, I live in the Pioneer Valley now... I am looking for these places as I read the posts, but they don't seem to be listed in NEMBA's "places to ride" list. Are you using nicknames? Is there a different site I should go to for this info?

Also interested in joining some group rides in the area! Can't wait to meet the PV chapter members!

Robinson is still fairly squishy. Got out for the first time this afternoon, when it wasn't frozen. Some spots are great and others are not so good. There is far more good than bad, but the riding requires good judgement. Some have shown some very poor judgement (over the past few weeks) and it will be visible all season. There are still a few small ice spots on a couple trails.

Should be good enough by the weekend, but other choices would definitely be better. Case is only 35 minutes south and last evening, following two others, it was quite dusty! There are fire warnings issued down in that area.

Best to hold off for one more week, but if you do go, please use some restraint.

And... Lots and lots of debris and branches down. Feel free to take a hike and clean some of the trails. Many more miles of trail to maintain out there and the one-man crew is getting old. Be glad to go out anytime anybody wants to.

(Event help has been great, but trail help included one peron for two days last season. Thanks Miles!)

Looking good out there now. There are still a few (small) very muddy spots on some of the older jeep-roads/wide-trails, but all of the single track is good to go.
