FOMBA Mud Season Singletrack Trail Closures

There is still snow and ice cover on the trails and the snowmobiles are still using the fireroads. But it is melting down. So, FOMBA Single track trails near Depot Rd./Little Massabesic are being closed for mud season this week. Typically this closure is from mid-March to mid - May.

In May we will hold a general trail cleanup/maintenance day and then reopen trails.

Fire/Carriage Roads remain open during the single track closure.

FOMBA Singletrack trails were closed for mud season 3/17/2009.

I went there the other day and saw they were closed. This will be my 2nd summer of riding mtn bikes (used to ride mx bikes). I love the FOMBA trails but I guess I'll be riding mines falls till they are open again!

There's still many many miles of trails in the watershed that remain open. Some are fireroads, but there are also double and single track at tower hill, candia and around the east pond, clark pond that are open.

After a long period of inactivity the FOMBA website has been rebuilt and updated.
The singletrack trails are still closed, but keep an eye out for an updated message on the website.

I will have to ask about renewal notices; I wasn't aware of any problems with them going out. I do know that FOMBA would sure appreciate your renewal! Also, if anyone has any suggestions for the website, feel free to email webmaster@fomba.org. There are a few upgrades in the works, including:

- email newsletter for FOMBA members
- on-line memberships and renewals

Hopefully we can get these features up in running soon.
