Anyone riding this weekend? Say HP or the PR? Just from my backyard test, it seems like I have a hard crust over cruchy stuff, not enough to support the bike. I think only good riding will be had on packed trails. Has anyone been to HP in the last day or so?

HP reports have not been good. Surface crust of the snow is too easily broken through.
Can anyone comment on condtions further south of HP? PR, Borderland, Wompy?

I am going to mount up the studded tires and take a rip around Kenoza Lake in Haverhill later this afternoon. It gets a lot of foot traffic so it will probably be well packed, frozen, and bumpy. I'll try to remember a camera!

Tried to ride there today....not much good riding..lots of foottraffic but it needs to be worked smooth a bit more. tonites snow will change everything for tomorrow and with the fluffy stuff, Im not optimistic that riding will be good for at least 3-4 days (weather forecast is for below freez temps) which wont help.will change to the xc skiing for a few days

Not much broken out. I hit all the parking lot / trailheads and no good progress made anywhere including the Jenkins Rd trailhead...maybe by the end of next wk things will be better
