FS/Trade: Surly Cross Check

I have a 54cm Surly Cross Check cyclocross bike that needs to be ridden. I've had the bike for about 3 years, ridden it maybe a dozen times.

I swapped the shifters out to Shimano 105 STI shifters, Thompson stem, front / rear fenders, extra Continental road tires. Everything else is stock, the original tires still have the nubbies on them. I'm 5'10" with about a 32" inseam - fits me nicely. (pump / pedals not included)

Looking for $850 for the bike, or I'd consider a trade (& cash?) for an 18" mountain bike, preferrably a 5" or 6" FS ride. Wouldn't be opposed to a decent hardtail with a good fork either. Let me know, I want to get back into the woods.

This thing's basically new. Buy it for yourself for a nice present this season.
It's been collecting dust & I want to ride dirt (snow). Let me know if you're interested in a trade.

Just put a long stem and a laid back seatpost on it. :)

I'm 5'10 with a 31/32" inseam and it fits, but just a little long in the top tube (note seat position in picture). You're welcome to check it out if you want.
