I have a 2006 Avid Juicy 7 front brake. It works right now (like you can put it on your bike and ride...and it will stop you) but the red dial only spins 1/2 a turn and because of that, I can't properly bleed it. So, there is a huge amount of throw in the lever before it actually engages the pistons. It will go to the bar during something like a long downhill.
If you are good with rebuilding a Juicy brake...well make an offer and get it cheap.
I'm currently not using it and don't really feel like investigating. Could be something stupidly simple or horribly wrong.
