I will be riding Bigelow tomorrow morning at 9:00 - I can possibly push that time if someone whines loud enough. I'm looking to do the full loop out there - 15 miles of some of the best technical XC in CT, tall claim I know. Think under ridden skinny singletrack with some serious climbs and rock gardens. Some HAB, but not enough to be annoying.
I have somewhat limited time so this is intermediate+ pace - I'll take a break or two, but keeping it rolling is the key. I'll look to complete the loop in 3 to 3.5 hours, which is way more difficult than it looks on paper (or on the screen as it were). Unfortunately I can't really call this a "no drop" ride considering my time commitment, though maps are easily available for bail points if necessary.
If you haven't ridden Bigelow before, come on out, you'll enjoy it, money back guarantee. It seems like its a long drive, but from my house in Tolland I can be in the parking lot in 20 minutes.
