The votes are in and this looks like the place to be this Sunday.
What – Merrimack Valley 6th and last TREK/NEMBA Trail Day for 2008.
When – This Sunday the 19th at 8:30 to 12 noon.
Where – Lowell Dracut Tyngsboro State Forest, Trotting Park Road entrance in Tyngsboro not Lowell.
Directions http://tinyurl.com/54jc58
(Note: This is not the same entrance where the weekly rides are held. Also I believe that Lowell will be having its annual fall marathon this Sunday. Be aware there may be detours or delays in getting over some of the bridges.)
What to bring – Work gloves, hammer, shovel and a rake if you got them. Don’t worry if your low on tools. We’ll have plenty of extras.
Why – We have a new boardwalk to install in the Tyngsboro section of the forest. This will be a significant addition to the forest. As part of this project we will be doing some "landscaping" to repair the damage that has been done by illegal ATV users at this site. That’s where the rakes and spades will come in handy.
