This Friends of GR SF workday should mark a big improvement
for the trails in this less frequented park. The project
will refine some existing singletrack that's great for
riding. Hopefully there will be more trail building to
follow. Project is planned by and designed for riders.
--------------
Hi Friends,
Let's plan on getting started at 9am on Sunday morning.
Meet at Penn Brook School parking lot. [Off Elm St.
Georgetown, MA]

This project will involve the reraking / partial reroute of
a partially existing singletrack trail running from the Penn
Brook bridge (33) over to the base of a gravelly climb on
16. We will be blocking off a section of double track from
35A to 16, and another from 16 to the base of the new trail.
This will eliminated 2 very eroded and unsustainable climbs.
We will punch a connection from the new reraked trail
through to 16 somewhere on top of the hill.

What to bring: Water, lunch and snacks, appropriate
clothing, spring rakes, loppers, hand saws, pruners, gloves,
boots, work ethic.

REMEMBER TO CHECK FOR TICKS!! Long pants tucked into socks
might be a good idea.

If you have any questions, please contact Matt:
matt at matthewulrichdesign.com

This is an ambitious project for a day, so we'll just have
to see what we can get done. I would like a head count of
people, so please respond for planning purposes.

Thanks for your help!
