I'll be riding Vietnam Thursday evening if anyone wants to join me. Meet me behind Wendy's at 6pm, we'll ride by 6:30. I'm driving a blue minivan and riding a silver Specialized Big Hit.
Cheers!
EDIT: Unless the weather really changes, don't forget LOTS of water, skip the soda and coffee, caffeine is a diuretic. Hydrate in advance and you won't get hit by the heat and humidity as badly. Not to be crude but you'll know you've had enough water when you are urinating frequently and it is clear (although some multivitamins may affect the color). Of course this really isn't bad advice any time of year regardless of the weather.

I'm most likely in. Depends if my job in Somerville doesn't take too long. Andrew did you want a ride?

A friend and I will be arriving about that time to hit up the xc. Would love to meet you guys. Not sure I will join in on your ride (coming back from back injury and don't want to slow anyone down). We will wither be in a brown Ford truck or silver Dodge truck.

I wouldn't worry about slowing us down, this isn't going to be a xc ride though, more of a stunt/play ride with some PYT (practice your thing) going on.

Apparently my camera has to have really good sunlight. I took about 12 pics and only the ones I took on the powerlines came out.
Badcrumble wanted to learn drops.
Think this was the first run.

This is pretty much how all the other pictures came out. But if I and/or my camera didnt suck this would have been a good picture.

Yes, great ride in Nam today. We had a pretty good sized group of all abilities. Some new faces and some familiar faces (even if I can't remember their names! :)) And Claire wasn't satisfied with just conquering the rock gardens she wanted to try her first drop. This from a girl that just two months ago she said she was afraid of rocks and hadn't ridden in over 5 years.
I didn't bring the gps since we were mostly sessioning areas and I probably would have broken it on one of my many falls. Below are some pics.

My friend and I did show up a little late and caught up with you guys just prior to the practice area but ended up logging some miles on the old xc stuff. I needed to test the back out and needed to try and get my friend in better shape for Kendafest in a couple of weeks. Great night out there and nice pics. Next time we will ride with you guys for awhile.
BTW, I am in the market for knee protection and noticed most (if not all) of you guys where them. Can you recommend some? Currently I am wearing Dainese elbow pads and love them, only complaint is that they do slip down a little but not enough to worry about.
Thanks,
Jamie

You got it, I can think of a couple bigger ones to have you ride after you've worked up through the practice area.

You might try playing with some of the camera features. I didn't see what you were shooting with but if it has a sport setting you might try that, the pictures may come out a little dark but that can be fixed easily. I'm guessing that in the low light your camera was set to auto and was keeping the shutter open longer to compensate which is why you got the blur.

Yeah I know its in the setting somewhere. When I first bought the camera it took really good pictures. Its only the last month or two that its been really bad. I just dont remember changing anything on it.
