Kingdom Trails (Mt burke campground)

Hi, I was wondering how the Mt burke campground and kingdom trails (area) would be for a young family! Is there fun stuff for kids(ages 6&4) around the area for the non mtbers!! Would like to try and camp there for a weekend in August. thanks, Ray

The campground and facilities are um "pretty rustic". I've only ever seen a few kids there, usually in there teens.

White Caps Campground on Lake Willoughby might be a better choice with the little ones. It is somewhere around 10 miles to the North, but they have a little beach across the street, and a small playground. There are usually kids around too. Not too much commercial kid activities up that way, but plenty of great outdoors and that is perfect kid activities. Bring the fishing poles and hiking boots.
