Has anyone ridden the lift access trails at Sugarbush? They opened lift access riding last year and reportedly expanded the network of trails this year. I am mainly looking for XC, but would probably take few runs some crazier stuff. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

do a search over on bustedspoke. one of the trail crew posts updates on the hill over there. I think it will be worth your while to check it out. Sounds like there doing alot of digging. Its a great hill to snowboard at...i'm sure its a great area for mtbing.

i rode there on july 4. the XC trails on the map are not good. basically just the tall grass ski slopes, no ribbon of dirt or anything. just ride up the mountain.
so i went down and rode up the novice DH trails, which are just the gravel access roads. not that fun. then i rode down 'XC7' one of only 2 black XC trails. that was actually pretty good.
on the way up i saw the black DH trails. looked not that good to me. just winding back and forth across the mountain.
oh and it's 30 bucks for the day, no 1 time passes to try it out. i did not check out the freeride park or the stuff over on skier's right, which is supposedly better, but you are not allowed to ride up, only down.
so in summary, there is much better riding XC elsewhere in the mad river valley.
