LSF Saturday 6/28

Anyone around for a ride in Leominster State Forest on Saturday around 1030 or so? I'll be going with a few people but nobody that really knows the trails well. Singletrack is our quest and I'm sure there's plenty to ride for 2-3 hrs or so? I'm traveling from Maine in the am so I'm not sure I can be there any earlier.

Well I went down to LSF Saturday with my brother and son and had a great time. We rode for 2.5hrs and went around 15 miles I'm guessing. My tour guide (brother) wasn't totally familiar with all the singletrack but we ventured out and had a real good time anyway. There are countless miles of tote roads out there and beginners would have a great time getting some real good exercise. We found the bowls where you can ride/jump which was real cool, completed the loop trail and many others but I wasn't paying attention to names, just havin fun. Quite a few people were there but we only came across 3 mtnbikers while riding.

I also checked out the parking area on Howard Rd in Westminster. It's across the raod from where I used to live 20+ years ago. I hiked andhunted the new mountain bike trail land as a kid. (rode my motorcycle all over it too). I didn't get a chance to ride the trails due to time constraints but next time I come around I'll check them out.
