I'm selling my 2004 Marin Bear Valley steel frame. I got it in late 2004, but I have grown to the point that the medium (17") feels extremely uncomfortable to ride, and although I loved the bike when it fit me, I have no real point in keeping it.
It's in "good" condition. It was ridden frequently for about 2.5 years and has since been ridden once and a while on the road. No cracks or dents, but there is quite a bit of cable rub. Not many chain suck marks. It's a steel frame, protected with WrenchForce steel frame protector (so there is no rust.)
I'll include the seatpost (odd size at 27.0) crankset+BB (Truvativ FiveD, good condition, teeth are fine) and a Deore front derailleur (still shifts really well). I can give you the rear derailleur, also a Deore, but it's a bit beat up. It has a Lizard Skins chainstay protector. The headset is a WTB, with some really loose bearings. Some escaped when I took the fork out. Saddle is not included.
Looks like Marin no longer has the 2004's on the site. If you need geometry #'s, I have their paper catalog from 2004.
$150 for everything.
Thanks!
PM me.
