I rode alone today so I took the camera along and pieced together another video montage. One of these days I'll figure out how to add music. It's really sunny so the video is a little dark.

Hey Yeti Ken,
So how do you like the riding in Maine compared to Colorado? Like the video. I've seen that format before....do you set the camera up ahead and them ride past it and then do it all over again? Yes it is pretty obvious that's what you do but I asked anyways :)

Yes, I just ride along and stop if I see something that I think would look good on camera. I set the camera up, ride back a little bit and ride back through the section. Then I edit everything else out but the good stuff. I did one last week (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MNUu-BanSMI)where I kept both the ride "forward" and ride "back". Fishbum thought I rode and out and back due to me adding both directions, but I actually road a loop.

As for Colorado vs New England riding... I definately prefer Colorado trails, but that doesn't mean I don't like New England Trails. I lived in Missouri before CO, and the trails there are incredible too. Nothing near as good as CO, just different in a good way.

I would say New England riding is more comparable to midwest riding. Lots of rocks and roots. Lots of shorter ups and downs. In otherwords, no waiting for the fun. In CO, you could climb a forest road in granny gear for 1-2 hours to get a 20-30 minute downhill. Fun both ways, but you have to appreciate the "reward" part of a ride like this.
