Hey earthlings does anyone know if my iMac with Leopard would have any issues with an iPod Nano '2nd generation', 2GB? And/or would I need a disc to make it work?

Steve I'm 99% sure you'll have no issues with compatibility here since everything should be backwards compatible. Only thing I can think of happening would be a firmware update to the iPod, but the iPod updater software should automatically recongnize this.

Steve, dont worry it will work. It's going to take some time, but you'll see, you will soon lose those Shazbut curses you used to encounter when using a PC...once you get more confident with the MAC, you'll be able to report back to Orson and everything will be fine.

Leopard will have no problem with any generation iPod.
If you're moving from another computer to a new Mac there are some things to be aware of.
One, your library will not sync down into a new computer from an iPod. (this a minor anti-piracy technique, although there are plenty of apps out there that circumvent this) The best thing to do is move your music from old-comp to new comp. Then resync the iPod to the new comp. (Most people have this set to a full automatic sync) You need to make sure everything is on the new comp, though, because once you sync your iPod, it over writes everything on the iPod.
If you're moving from a PC to a Mac, you'll have the option to reformat the iPod as a Macintosh iPod. Your Mac can read and use the iPod as a PC-formatted one, though. If you choose to reformat your iPod with the new Mac, it will be reformatted with the Mac filesystem (HFS+, if you care), by default.
Be sure to use the latest version of iTunes, and iTunes will ensure your iPod's software is the latest available. If you have any trouble, AppleCare will gladly walk you through the process (and if you've bought a new Mac, this is free for 90 days, or three years if you have the full AppleCare coverage)
