hello all, new to new england (Manchester, NH)

hi all. i posted this on a different forum but figured the general discussion might be a better place for it.

my name is chris and i recently relocated from ohio to new hampshire. i don't know anyone so i'm looking for some trails to ride around here and some people to ride with.

if there are any trail maintenance days coming up around here (i don't see anything specifically posted) let me know and i'll try to join. in the meantime, i'll continue to check out the trail reviews etc for lists of places to ride. i figure if i can find something fairly close i can hit that after work during the week and maybe branch out a bit on the weekend. i didn't ride at all last year and i hated it.

i'm not very good and out of shape. i ride a very basic hardtail (schwinn mesa gsx, manitou magnum forks, shemano deore drive train) .

i also need a recommendation for a local bike shop so that i can take my bike to get a tune up. any ideas.

Join the SNH email list and check www.snemba.org for the latest happenings in SNH. As for the bikes shops.. everyone has their favorite. Any shop thats been in business for a good number of years has to have a lot of satisfied customers.

hi, I just moved back this way from a long time away in the Air Force. There is quite a bit in the area, and it seems like here and on bikerag.com are the best places to meet up with people and find information.
As for bike shops, I really liked Hetzers in Hudson, but his son took over and relocated everything to cycles etc in Salem. They seem to be pretty good though!
If you would like, PM me some weekend and we could get together for a ride. I'm in the Nashua area. My dad just broke his collarbone riding, so I'm without a partner for a while :(
