Here is the formal email announcement - to this I will add that if you ride Bradbury, then you should attend! We have a new park manager this year and the more support we can get from the mountain biking community the better!!!! And the more work we do on the trails the sooner they can open each year!

Greetings from the Friends of Bradbury Mountain!

A new year is upon us, and we are looking forward to yet another amazing summer season in the park.

To help everyone plan better for the year, the park has established a regular schedule of trail maintenance days for the year. These will be held the first Sunday of each month from May-November, and the specific dates are shown below:

May 4
June 1
July 6
August 3
September 7
October 5
November 2

To participate, meet outside the park shop (the building past the main gate on the right as you enter the parking lot) at 9:00. Bring gloves, food and water and the park will provide any tools you will need. It is important to be on time for these, as the work party usually leaves to go out to the trails by 9:15. Please remember to sign in with the the ranger each time you volunteer.

Any help you can offer in attending as many of these as possible is really appreciated. Last year, volunteers contributed more than 2,000 hours of trail maintenance in the park, and as you travel the trails this year, the new bridges, turnpikes (raised sections above wet spots) and drainage control you will see are the result of these efforts.

Please write these dates on your calendar now to be sure you remember!

The park is now also recruiting organizations to participate in the Adopt a Trail program for this year, and at this writing, there are just four trail segments still needing adoption. Please write us back if you would like further details.

See you on the mountain and thanks for your support.

The Friends of Bradbury Mountain.
